I was quite ambitious last night and today, I made two tags and did tuts for them. Both tags are made with kits from Pimp'd Designs.

I did warn you in my earlier post that I would be back to post up a tag I did :) Well here I am and that's what I'm doing. My son helped with this tag - it's his tag - he wanted to help me make one so I let him pick the stuff I used. He chose the tube, papers, and some of the elements, I added a couple to what he liked. The kit used is 'Fire' by Hezascraps.

I have been away from my blog for a long time. Way to state the obvious, huh? Life just ran away with me for awhile, it swallowed me and my energy. I was finally able to surface but it's taken me awhile to get back into things and find my mojo. I have to say my mojo is not as steady as it was but I am creating now and then and that makes me happy. I would like to be doing more but I don't want to push it and flatten myself again. There is still alot going on in my life with my family, even if it's not me directly. We have had some upheaval and adjustment as my mother in law had to move in with us and things are alot different with having someone else live with us. Anyway that's the short story in order to keep it brief, otherwise I'll ramble on about it all for ages. I don't want to do that, I just want to keep moving forward. With that said, I'm here cleaning up my blog a little and will be posting a tag I made for one of the few CTs I am still on. Falling off the face of the planet doesn't work so well for doing CT stuff.

I made a blog background last night. I did not make a header with this one.. maybe I will later but I have been wicked tired the past few days and my birthday is this weekend. I want to have some energy to enjoy that. My husband and I are going to his mom's tomorrow for thanksgiving - wooo turkey lol! Anyway.. on to the layout :) I made this using the awesome tagger size kit - The Saga: Bad Vamps by Cora's Creations.

I have been one busy bee the last couple of days, I managed to write up two tuts and make a blog layout.. I'm not sure I was awake for it all but I did it lol! Thank you to J.W. who recently gave me a compliment and boosted my mojo with her kind words. I also need to give a big hug and a thank you to Tripp who is always there to listen to me when I need to vent or just whine and is always there for me. You really are so much more than just my best friend. **hugs**

Popping in quick to post up a tag I made earlier tonight, before I forget again - If my head wasn't attached.. Yeah I would forget it somewhere! So.. the tag I am here to post since I'm tired and words are not my friend right now.. I made this one using a scrapkit called Heartless by Naughty Creations. The kit is based on Bella and Edward of Twilight, so something cool for all you fans out there. But also for those who are not fans you can easily make a non-twilight tag.

Basically they are two versions of one tag, one I wanted to use for a contest and the other because I was torn between the two tubes and well I decided to use both. That last post took me awhile to finish, I wandered off in the middle of it - distracted by other things as usual. I was also working on a layout at the same time, I really need to learn to do one thing at a time. That probably wont happen anytime soon! So anyway I was playing around in my psp while I was supposed to be posting and I ended up making this layout, after I get this posted, I think maybe I'll go to bed. We had dinner with my mother in law tonight so I was 'late' getting into my psp for my usual nightly session. It helps me relax and it's something I have found that I can use as a healthy outlet for my emotions. Not that I really had anything to let out tonight, today was a pleasant day. I made a layout earlier that I posted to my scrapbook galleries and I finished a tag a short time ago, I'm uploading it for my always list right now. Getting into the spirit of the winter season this tag is sort of meloncholy and done in shades of blue.. I used a scrapkit called Winter Romance by Naughtys Creations.

Wow.. so I have been sitting here with this window open for like.. ohh 2 hrs? Yeah, story of my life - wheeeee! Distracty-ville.. this is where I live and when I'm a little tired I tend to wander off it thoughts and to other things, while trying to do many things at once. I usually don't get much of anything done when I am like this. Like right now for example, I am trying to make a tag, trying to post one here, checking my email, and cooking dinner.. yeah good luck with that, huh? I may get this post done eventually, lol. Actually you'll be glad to know I'm almost done rambling.

My whole reason for posting was to show off a tag I made the other night, I got distracted (as usual) that night and never made it here to post the tag.. if I had a dime for everytime I wandered - I'd be burried in them! Alright so on with the tag - woot! I made this one using a scrapkit called Heartless by Naughty Creations. The tag was inspired by a set of characters Tripp and I write in our rp stories. And below you will find the tag.. I really like how it turned out.

Surprise - a new tag!

I know.. shocking! hahaha! I'm still a little tired and run down but I feel much more like myself and like I am finally getting over the worst. It helps that me and the hubby are not fighting constantly.. which we were for a couple of weeks and that sort of drove me into the 'funk' I couldn't shake. It happens when people get stressed and we've worked out the issues - compromise is good :) Anyhow I have been creating more and feeling better.. and I'm popping in to show of a tag I made last night. I got distracted by other stuff and never made it here to show it off - bad girl! (lol) So this one was made with a kit called I Love Goth by Naughty Creations. Well the kit had lots of pink and I love pink! The tube seemed to go so perfect with this kit, it sort of made itself :)

I am just popping in 'quick' to post up another tag I made tonight, then I am off to try to get some sleep. I have been in an awful funk for weeks and couldn't shake it, everytime I started to feel better and thought I was getting over it - I went right back down again. Had to make one more halloween tag before it's over! I planned only to script the ones I have already made and send them out to my always list but then that 'evil' psp made me make another one lol! I used a new tube that was a gift from Tripp and a kit called Creme de Menthe from Gemini Creationz. It's a neat kit, love the colors which if you can guess from the name - light minty green and rich browns.. mmm yum!

Mixed Feelings

Alrighty, I'm going to attempt to keep myself rolling here with posting and creating :) As you may know I CT for a bunch of very talented designers, I have been slacking when it comes to creating for them. I am a bad putie tat! The reasons for my lack of creativity were mentioned in my last post and I'm trying not to dwell on it.. so off we go! I am here to post up another tag I made a couple of days ago. Tripp helped me name this one as I was unsure about it and the styles were a mix of things.. she came up with a perfect name for it (Mixed Feelings). This tag was made using the Splash of Autumn Mega Collab from Country Hollow Scraps Store or Team CHS :) And mega is right, it's huge with lots of fun things to play with. I don't think one tag can really do it justice but that's all I have made so far..

Hello all...
I have been away from the blog for a couple of weeks or is it just a week? Not sure but it really feels like it's been awhile. I have been quite exhausted lately and a bunch of drama on the home front.. sapped much of my energy. I've been creating here and there but not near my usual and I have lacked enthusiam for anything I've made.. *pouting* I'm still tired and not sleeping well but I wanted to try to post up some things I have made lately. I have a new tag tonight.. I didn't tut this one. I decided it was better to make a pretty tag and not do a tut than to force myself to write a tut and make a less inspired tag. I've been having disagreements with my other half so that seriously saps my creativity... bleh! Anyway on with the better things - I did get a spark of creative life and made this tag tonight.. Hey there :) I'm back to post up a couple layouts I did tonight. (Since I haven't posted much in that department lately.) My son was sick this past weekend and then my husband wasn't feeling well this week.. I was a little distracted :( I wasn't feeling the greatest myself but I'm doing better and the boys are well. Okay so on to the layouts.. both were made with the same kit it's a pretty cool kit called Wordless by Ariana's Kreations. I'm not one who is big on green when it comes to papers, yet I used them in both layouts and had quite a bit of fun in making these.

I have a new tag tonight - I am gearing up for a tag war I am supposed to participate in soon. I'm sort of excited for it but not overly yet, I've just been too busy, lol! Anyhow I played with a really cute kit tonight, it's called Denim Daze and is by Honored Scraps. The colors worked so perfectly with this tube, the tag practically made itself! The word art piece caught my eye and I just had to use it.

Heh that's just the name of the kit I used for the two layouts I made today. This kit has loads of pink and black - which is awesome for me since I love both those colors. It's a nice (bright) break from the red kick I have been on with my tags. Not that I won't still use plenty red if I feel like it, it was just a nice change and the kit was fun to use.

Hay y'all I am back with another tag and a tut. Hmm I seem to be on a red and black kick.. well they are pretty colors, especially together :) For this tag, I used a scrap kit called Nurse Betty from Cora's Creations. It's a nice kit - was fun to make this tag and the kit comes with a little nurse gal - so if you don't have or want to use an MPT tube like I did, you don't have to.

I have yet another layout for your viewing pleasure. In this one I tried to capture the theme of imagination, which went well with both the kit and pictures of my son outside playing.. the only 'toy' he had was a stick he'd picked up in the yard..

Back with a tag I made, this one came out really nice I think, I had fun making it and the colors in the kit I used, went very well with the tube I wanted to use. (Love Rac!) I also love red and black - that's Tripp's fault (thank you very much dear). This kit had a bunch of cool elements and it was hard choosing which to use - I wanted to use them all! Anyway if you're wondering, the kit is called 'Punk Boi' and it's by Angel's Designz. (Available for purchase at Country Hollow Scraps Store)

I made another layout today.. yes I know you must be shocked since I don't make them often - lol! Anyway.. My wedding and pictures of my son are truly my favorite things to scrap.. It's hard to decide which one I enjoy using more - the only reason I make more layouts with my wedding at this moment is because I need a new scanner.

I made this layout with a kit called 'Love is in the air' by Totally Twisted Scraps. It's a very pretty kit and as you might be able to tell from the name, quite nice to scrap my wedding and anything 'love'.

Seriously.. anyone want a beagle? Sorry my dog was being a pain, now he's sleeping.. grr argh! lol. Alright here are two layouts I made on the 14th. I made both layouts with the same kit, it's a great one for the kids and for those first day of school pics. It's called Back 2 School from Cora's Creations. You can find her kits at Sophisti-Scraps.

This first page surprised me because I -hate- orange! But I created this page with a bunch of it and I like how it came out. The elements in this kit were fun - love the chalk :)

On this second layout I tried out some different elements and papers. I also experiemented with layering the string over and under the frame. and of course I used pictures of Mikey for both :

The first layout I am going to post is one I made on the 13th, I got it up into my galleries but never got it posted here. That was the night I was scrapping away and then looked at the clock and went 'oh crap!' (oops) I tend to do that alot, being a night owl and all but on that night I needed to sleep since I had plans the next day with Rick's mom and grammie.

I made this layout using a kit called "Symphony" by Kiki Halbert at Scrapbook-Elements.com. The papers in this kit are really neat, a couple of them gave me the feel of being in a dream which is how I came up with the idea of using pictures of Mikey sleeping for the layout. There are lots of cool elements as you can see some of them in this layout. I tried to do something different rather than just a picture in a frame with this one. I like to try different things, sometimes they turn out really good and sometimes they don't. I think this one turned out pretty neat! Once I get my scanner hooked up, I will definitely want to make more layouts with this kit so I can use more of what is in it.

I had a very busy weekend and begining to this week so I have been absent from my blog, but never fear I have not abandoned it for long this time. I had some family things to do (places to go, people to see) and coupled with a lack of sleep made it impossible for me to get much out in the way of words or updates here. I did do some layouts which I will have to post so - Warning! Incoming posts- I'm not sure how many I skipped but hopefully I can get caught up with them tonight since I have another layout and a tut from today to get posted as well.

Haha.. I already got distracted just doing this post.. oy! *note to self* don't get behind again!

I have another new tut tonight or rather this morning. I made this tag last night but was too tired to tut it then. I had my other halloween tag to tut too.. so now I finally got both done - woot! For this tag/tut I used a scrap kit called Spooky Hollow from Gemini Creationz. Wicked fun kit! If you like this kind of theme it can be used for more than just halloween tags or layouts. Really cool elements in this kit. It's one I will come back to many times.

Cupid Caught QPs

I was able to CT another kit today from The Urban Fairy, this is one of her older kits and she was like 'remember it's an older kit'.. Well let me say it's fantastic! In my humble opinion. I fell in love with the word art from the start and that's what pulled me in. The colors are beautiful, appropriately in shades of pink and red. The frames and elements are great, there were two frames that I just totally love. I used them in both of the layouts I made, I usually try to use different ones but these were too perfect not to use again. I scrapped some of my wedding pictures and these frames had just the right touch for them. The kit is called Cupid Caught and is available for purchase at OSDS.

I did another tut today :) Once again, I used Tiffany Style scrap kit - tagger size, from Gemini Creationz. Available for purchase at TSD. If you haven't noticed.. or you've only just come by to see my stuff.. I like to use kits more than once. To me that is the true measure of a kit's worth, the more versatile a kit is, the more it's worth to me. When I look to purchasing a kit that's something I ask myself. How many times and ways can I use this.. the more I come up with, the more likely I am to buy it. Anyway on to showing off my tag and all that :)

I played with A Fae For All Seasons some more today, this is the kit I used for my tut last night and I fell in love with the colors. So I decided I needed to do some more with it, and I did.. I made two layouts. The first one is a blog layout which I have used on my tutorial blog. http://lovelytrippntuts.blogspot.com/

And this second one is one with a couple of my pics, I was just messing around with the kit to see what different things could be done with it. I prefer kits which are versatile and can be used for many different projects. This kit is definitely on that list :)

I just made this super cute tag and wrote a tut for it. Every thing I used in the tag - except for the mask came in the scrap kit I used for this one. I am pleasantly surprised with how this came out, and surprised at how much I like it. The kit I used was beautiful, as you can see the colors are just perfect together. I just finished another tut! I can't believe I'm actually writing tuts.. wow.. kind of crazy! It's also 4 am and I should so be in bed rather than in my psp.. oopsies! Anyway back to this tag and tut I just finished. I used a brand new kit called Jewels of India from HezaScraps. (She has cool tagger kits - you should check her out!) As you'll see on the tag this kit has a bunch of nice elements, my only issue with them was trying to choose which to use - I wanted to use them all! Guess that means I'll have to make another tag...

I have written another tutorial, this time using a kit called Dark Of The Night from Gothic Inspirations. Yes that is one of the designers I CT for. This kit was really cool and I actually finished the tag with time and energy enough to post it and talk about it. I always intend to rave about the great kits I have used but normally when I'm coming to post - my brain is all like 'words - yuck!' Anyway this kit was in one of my favorite colors - purple. Yes - I'm a huge fan of pink but this kit wouldn't look right pink and it was very awesome. There are alot of frames and elements to play with, which are a big part of the tag I made. I pretty much loved this whole kit and with so many elements in it, I know I can use it over and over for tags and layouts.

Okaaaay.. so I made this tag last week and ran the script for it, but totally forgot to send it out to my always list or for offer.. der! I had to run out with my husband for dinner right after the script finished and I totally spaced it when I got home and since. I've been kinda super busy and tired, I guess more than I realized. I just ran a script on this tag again to add in the names of folks who have signed up since last week and the tag is uploading to my fotki now. I only realized my over sight today when I went to run the script for another tag I made! It just clicked as I was clicking.. I'm not a scatterbrain - I'm just a chaotic thinker :) I used a kit called Eclipse from Urban Fairytales.

Wound up!!

Oh gosh, I soooooo need to get my butt to bed and it's not happening. I'm too bouncey! We had a big day of shopping for school clothes for my son, who is very happy with what he got this year. He had a little more say in what he wanted than in previous years when he mostly had to take what we got him. But he is 11 now and he knows what he likes and what he won't wear. He already got all his other school supplies earlier in the week, which his Nana and a very generous friend got him. He ended up with a back pack stuffed full of school supplies! Lucky kid - hehe! I snapped some pictures when we went to show off his new clothes to Nana, which I'll be using in layouts soon.

As if that's not enough.. I get home and check my email to find out I was accepted as a CT for Totally Sweet Designs! I was wicked excited over this.. as I had applied for their team and wasn't sure they'd want me, with so many talented people out there. They picked me! *Squeals* and five other folks :) Congrats to everyone else who was accepted! I'm thrilled to have the chance to work with such talented designers and other ct members.

So.. I'm all hyped about this and I come on over here to grab my blog link for their database and woah - I have a message from Gothic Inspirations (Jessica Woods Creations) about her CT.. if you are not familiar with her work - omg! go to her blog and get familiar! For Real - I mean it.. go!

It's hard not to smile.. I was already on the CTs for The Urban Fairy, HezaScraps, and Designs by Cindi.. all talented ladies with great kits - of course I danced in my chair as I got on each of their CTs - I just didn't make it public! Oh darn, I think I just did. hehe.. Okay so now everyone knows how much of a dork I am. Oh well - it's worth it to be given the chance to work with all these awesome designers. I made my first real scrap layout with a kit by The Urban Fairy, I wrote my very first tutorial with a kit from Designs by Cindi, and did my first blog layout/header for someone else with HezaScraps.. for her blog. THANK YOU to all of you for thinking my tags, tuts, and layouts are worthy of your CTs. I am honored and thrilled beyond words to be on each and every one!

Anyway.. (if you're still here reading..) at this point I'm literally bouncing out of my chair with excitement!! Seriously - my husband was like what are you doing over there? He had to later tell me to stop making my happy face... hey - these are the things that make me happy. I'm not hard to please, just give me something shiny, pat me on the head, and tell me I rock! hehehehe! Okay back to my story.. double CT awesomeness whammy!! I'm all giddy and stuff :) We know what I'm going to be doing tomorrow! Heck it is tomorrow and I'd be playing in psp right now if it wasn't 4am. I really need to get some sleep...

Haircut!

The whole family got haircuts today. A friend of my mother in law comes to her house to do hers and offered to give the rest of us a trim as well. She does a really nice job and we were all happy with how each of ours came out. I snapped a few shots of my son after we got back home, when I asked him about his expression and all - he replied with 'just being cool'. It cracked me up but I used it in the wording on the layout.

For this layout I used a scrapkit called Butterfly Wishes by Melissaz Creationz. It's a neat kit with lots of bright colors - great for a boy or even a girl as there are flowers and butterflies among the papers and elements.

I don't have many personal pics on my computer so I ended up working on this page and not having my own pics to use in it. That's how it ensed up a quick page. Rock On blog

I have finished another layout, this one looks pretty simple but it took me awhile to finish it and get it to look like this.. or rather it took me doing it over a bunch of times. The kit I was working with was pretty cool but I just couldn't get the right combination of papers and elements - aaghhh I hate when that happens. I almost gave up but then I decided one more try.. and voila! It all just came together. It was likely all the distractions from the family earlier tonight that kept me from getting this one easily. Darn family - don't they know I'm creating here? lol!
Anyway here is the layout and I think I'm going to do a tag with this kit tomorrow, I got a bunch of ideas in that direction while working on the layout. If anyone wants to use this - please save to your own photohost and use the credits below the preview.

Challenge group = good! I made another tag for it today. We were given a frame this time and had to make a tag with it. I used a celeb in this one, some pics I had of her and 1 tube. I used a couple of odds and ends I had to spruce it up a little but really not alot for bits on this one. I am a little unsure of the colors/font I used for the name but other than that I like how it came out. I call this take two because I named the tag Be Yourself and realized after I made a tag before with the same name.. Oh well :)

Wish

Well I definitely think my I'm back in my taggin groove now.. cause I have yet another tag to share. I make tags most often with a person as the center of it, whether it be a celeb or a tube from a PTU artist, so for me this tag is another walk beyond my usual style. The center of the tag is not a person, in fact there is no person in this tag at all. I find it simple, pretty, peaceful, and kind of soothing. Once again I did not use a scrap kit like I so often do, what can I say? I'm addicted to scraps. For this tag, I used bits and pieces I had to create with. I have made this for my laways list but have decided to make it a semi exclusive tag and I am only offering it in one new group I joined.

Well it seems I have gotten my taggin groove back - yay! For awhile I wasn't making anything or having fun with psp. It seems that I have finally snapped out of that funk and I'm back to playing in psp. I still have lots of work to do on my rp site but I've also made good progress there so feeling the weight lift some on having too many things to do and not enough time or hands to do them. That's what took the fun out of it for me, I had too many projects going at once.

So anyway I made another tag today, I was a little unsure when I first chose the image and started putting it together. I started out with the pic of the girl and the dangly ribbon piece. I didn't know what direction it would take, once I got the word art it seemed to put itself together. I also didn't use any scrap kits on this one, I just used different odds and ends and bits I had. It's not wicked fancy but I think it came out neat. I delivered it to my always list and I'm going to be putting it out for offer, need to do that quick before we leave to go have dinner with my mother in law :)

This tag was made for another challenge in the group I joined a couple days ago. this one was a template challenge, and though I didn't use the word art that was within the template I did use the other pieces. I decided to use a different word art that I just loved with the rest of this tag. I sent this in to the challenge group and have 'whipped up' a batch for my always list and I am about to send out an offer for it to the groups I tag for.

I recently joined a psp challenge group... like two days ago? Anyway very very recently. Anyway the first challenge was to take the given tube and make a tag with it. I wasn't sure on what I'd do with it since it was a flower. What I ended up with is different from my usual style, according to my friend Tripp, but she still likes it. I thought the colors were something that my mom would like so I gave her one too.. then sent it off for my always list once fotki let the batch upload. Of course I'd already sent it into the challenge group before all that.. Anyway here is what I did with this tube we we're given. Different but it's growing on me :)

Woah, hey! I'm back today to share a tag I made this afternoon. This on was made as a mailbox header for my brother to use on a forum. Of course I liked it so I went with a stat, resized it to make a tag, whipped it up for my always list and I'm about to offer it out.. It feels good to finally be getting back into my tagging groove :) I'm excited over the new kit I'm hoping to play with for the gal I CT for. This will be the first kit I get of hers... (waits eagerly!)

New tag and some babbling

What do you know, I'm here posting and it hasn't been too long since the last time. I know, I know.. don't faint, lol! Anyway I am here to show off a tag I made.. yeah really! I know it's shocking that I am actually using my blog in the way I intended to, I'm surprising myself too. Anyway on to the tag. This is one I just finished and put out for offer. I made it as a mailbox header for a friend to use on a forum and I liked the way it came out so I made it into a stat and reduced the size a little to make a tag. My always list got this of course!

So yeah... I keep meaning to post things and I think about it and even intend or plan on it and then just never get my lazy butt over here to do it. My poor blog is so neglected, but then again half my life is - I always mean to do things and just don't. like Christmas cards and school pictures. I always mean to send them but never do. It's a bad way to be and I really need to change it.. the only thing is.. how? How to you even begin with something like that? I mean it's tough when you always intend to do something and then don't.. I'm not sure there is a twelve step program for that. Hmm maybe this is the first step, always meaning to come write something here, even if it's lame.. but actually being here now.. it's something right? Maybe.. I have come here before and posted with the intention of making it something I do more often but then I don't get back here for a loooong time. Though I have recently accomplished some pretty amazing things - well amazing in my little life anyway. This could be the start of something new or maybe it's the same old story.. only time will tell I suppose.

Sailing Sargasso

The year is 2008 and the life is very different than what one might expect for a world which grew as ours did. The technology is there on the home planet and in some ships which traverse the never ending darkness of space. Technology is limited in many of the colonies. High powered stuff owned by the governments has special fuels, but these colonies subsist on their own agriculture. They grow it, they burn it to make things go, relying on simpler, steam power (coal, wood, grain alcohol, no gas).

Earth is now divided between the very rich and the very poor, there is no room left for a middle class. People are encouraged to go off planet to one of several colonies built to ease overpopulation on Earth. Some are moons, artificial worlds with natural resources, some actual planets which were found to be suitable for human life.

To encourage people to move to the settlements, the goverment gives you a certain amount of credits for moving off the still very over populated earth. If you're willing to go to one of the 'out of the way' colonies you get X amount of land and X amount of credits to start. If you are lucky enough you may end up in a settlement with advanced medical equipment and/or a doctor who has been properly trained. Otherwise you may be forced to rely on poorly trained, ill equiped 'butchers' for your medical needs.

All the great pioneering historical landmark cities have a colony named after them as well as some of the bigger well known cities and states of the former United States. Denver, Kansas City, Philadelphia, St Louis, Texas, and New York, amoung others. Each colony has multiple little towns scattered across it's terrain.

Denver is a small planet on the edges of civilization, with only a few settlements.

The Denver Colony, was first settled just over 30 years ago and includes the towns of Atasco Creek, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque.. Small coal powered trains go throughout the colony connecting the towns which are wide spread to allow more land between them for settlers and crops. The settlements resemble towns of the old west and the people live off the land and what they can produce for themselves, scraping a living as best they can. They raise livestock, crops, travel by horse and wagon and use old fashioned weapons.

After the morning's incident with Samuel and his dung caked thanks, the day had gone smoothly.. well for the captain it had, for Sam it was every undesireable job that could be found, including mucking out the very hold he'd spent the night in. The crew teased him of course, throughout the day and into the evening while he went about his chores. The young man was sure to be sore by the end of it and hungry for his evening meal which he'd not be sharing with the capatain tonight.

The early evening as the sunset was fading on the horizon and odd wind blew seeming from nowhere across the deck of the ship. Treasure turned as she felt it, her expression contemplating what this was warning of or what it would bring with it. "The winds of change are blowing.." She murmured, tucking her hat more tightly over her firey locks. "Keep a careful watch this evening.." She warned her man before giving a last look at the horizon and moving off to her cabin for her evening meal.

She ate her meal alone and one of the crew would be sent to clear it away, she had no cabin boy at the moment. There were not enough crew to spare one for such a job, but perhaps one day soon she'd be able to have such an indulgance. Some captains kept themselves a small harem for thier amusements.. she just wanted someone to clear away the dishes and well keep her company. Many captains rambled to their cabin boys when they couldn't talk to the rest of the crew. Wouldn't that be nice. Treasure sighed, sipping some rum as she waited for the crewman to come clear her dinner away.

She propped her feet up on the table, deep in thought but aware of what went on around her. The knock didn't startle her and she called out. "Enter!" To whomever had been sent to clean up, she assumed that's all it was since the knock was not urgent, preceeded or followed by shouting.

A crewman came in to clear her plate and he spoke to her though she wasn't paying attention to him. He asked if everything was alright.. "Hmm?" She turned her gaze toward him as he gathered the dishes and serving tray. "Oh, yes. Of course it is." As the captain she needed to appear knowing and in control even if things were not clear.

Her own thoughts troubled her and again the crew person spoke to her, commenting now on what was in her thoughts though he could not know them, something odd in the wind.. She didn't wear alot of jewelry but she had a small medallion and some beads on a cord around her neck, her fingers rubbed over them as her gaze went to the 'window'. She was nodding, her expression thoughtful again, it was familiar to her but she couldn't place how yet. "The wind.. as untameable as the sea." She murmured quietly. "Winds of change.. could be something coming."

He asked if there was anything else she needed.. She waved her hand to dimiss him and his question, but answered him softly. "No.. I don't need anything." That was such a lie, there were so many things she needed but didnt ask for. Loyalty, true friendship.. things she'd likely never find, keeping herself so guarded all the time. "You have first watch tonight. Be sure to get some rest after... in the crew bunks. Tomorrow is apt to be another long day."

The first watch went by without incident, the captain came out of her cabin once to check on things and once to fetch a bottle of rum, but otherwise was unseen this evening. The men chatted amoung themselves, making rounds but generally sitting or standing about.

The next set on watch came up and relieved the other sailors, allowing them to go below deck and rest as the new watch started. A touch of fog had started to roll over the sea and the ship giving it a bit of an eerie feel.

Al had been left with a task, her instructions clear and precise and the punishment for disappointing her father was also quite clear.. it wasn't allowed. There could be no mistakes, no room for error, yet he'd gone to pursue a larger ship and left her there to claim this haul. Al played the role of obedient and loyal son well, even to her father's crew she was known as his son. Her hair always pulled back in a braid and kept under a hood, she'd only recently been allowed to grow it out. It was her reward for an abundant haul she'd secured for her father, it had pleased him enough to allow her to have hair. Her face was always kept covered in a hood or sometimes a mask, the story was that 'he'd' been burned and thus hid 'his' face, the truth was that she was a girl rather than a boy and her father didn't want that known, sometimes she believed he truly wished she was his son instead of his daughter. But none of that mattered as she knelt in the engine room, the panel removed in front of her and her hands pulling and twisting wires. She pushed her sleeve up revealing the tattoo and scar on her forearm, the true marks she had. The scar was from a fight, a blade slice which curved around at an angle.

Why send an underling to do the fun jobs, especially when there was sport to be had still on board? The clatter of a blaster was too alarming and could cause an overly abrupt end to this game and hand-to-hand was simply too tiring. Getting a good look at this man's face before damaging it more, however...? The blaster was clipped back in place and he swung himself down to the level below, the boots being notice enough of his intrusion. "Ahem. You're on my ship and I don't believe we've met. I think that's a little rude, don't you?" He waited cautiously for the well known 'hood' to turn from the task and make a proper acquaintance now.

Al remained still for a moment, one gloved hand clenching into a fist as she kept her head tipped down, grunting a little. She did it to 'scratch' her throat so she could help make her voice more low and deep, her alter ego wasn't known for speaking much and the reason was the less she spoke, the less likely anyone would notice her voice. "Not your ship." She about hissed as if she had trouble speaking at all.

Nearly a thousand years had passed and the child of darkness slumbered, absorbing the light as well as gathering power and strength. Her dreams were lucid and she was somehow aware yet apart from the world, nothing was real as vivid and fantasic images shifted through her mind. Sapphira was woken early from her sleep due to the unbalance caused by the forces that were released along with Alkonost. As if he'd known all along, he was there when she awoke and broke free of her encasement, Gil had been the last she'd seen as a babe, before being sent to 'sleep' and was the first she saw upon awakening. Her alliegence was immediately set to him, she saw him as greater than she was, and he took her 'home' where she remained with him for many years, in an alter dimension, during which only one year had passed on this realm.

Awakening early, caused disruption in her balance as she was not fully 'set' and should have remained in slumber for a time longer, but alas some things can not be changed. At first she was wild, a bit savage, and primal, driven soley by her hunger -Gil taught her about control, he civilized her somewhat and devised 'aides' to subdue and balance the darkness that remained in her. Gil became like a father to Sapphira through the years she spent with him, learning and being 'tamed', she became fiercely loyal and protective of the man.

She was curious and devoured the knowledge Gil shared like the meat of a meal when she was starving. After the initial adjustments, the time had passed quietly... the days turned to weeks, weeks to months and months faded into years.. time slipped by without grandeur or even much notice. Finally the time came for her to cross into this realm and learn what she could from the little that was left of man and continue her training 'in the field'.

The crossing itself was meant to be a simple matter, merely stepping through a portal with Gil, but how often do things remain simple? As Sapphira crossed into the void that spaced this realm from the other, a strange phenomenon occured, something called the Ripple... As the waves passed through to reorder events and prevent the destruction, Sapphira was hit and knocked askew with time and landed here on the eve of the summer soltice, one year before she was meant to enter. She was effected by the ripple as were the creatures of this realm, though not wiped clean much of her knowledge was sent askew and many things lost or confused. She 'misplaced' some of her civilized ways and a bit more of her savageness was returned.

All in all her landing was soft, a small pop of the air as if popping gum and she appeared in the dark, stumbling a step and immediately turning to look for Gil. There was nothing there, no trace of the portal, no Gil, and upon better observation the world looked nothing like it had been described.. it certainly did not look very decimated, her brow furrowed and she moved off to search the area for Gil.

Sapphira had not gone far, when she came upon another creature and what might be another portal, but there was still no sign of Gil. She was worried, for herself and for the man she considered a father, she was sure now that she had not ended up where she was intended to be. She remained in the shadows, keeping herself hidden, as she watched the creature, the man, silent and curious.. something about him reminded her of something, though she could not place what that was.
